An Introduction to the 2020 Student Agencies Management Team

This year, Student Agencies is excited to welcome yet another team of diverse, talented individuals to manage its portfolio of businesses. Here is a brief introduction to each of the 2020 managers and executive team, which will be led by incoming SAI President Kaela Olsen (’22):

 

The incoming General Manager of Hired Hands Moving Company (HHMC) is Reid Kleinman (’22), from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Reid is a sophomore studying Applied Economics and Management and pursuing a minor in Anthropology. Reid is also involved in the Dyson Undergraduate Council, finance organization Alpha Fund, and social fraternity Zeta Beta Tau. Outside of SAI, he enjoys reading, skiing, eating, and exercising. He looks forward to learning the skills of running a business and join a new professional network of hardworking peers. Reid’s fellow General Manager of HHMC this year is Sammy Malhotra (’22), a sophomore from Lausanne, Switzerland studying Policy Analysis and Management in the College of Human Ecology with a minor in business. Sammy is a member of social fraternity Sigma Pi as well as College Mentors for Kids. In his free time, Sammy enjoys hiking, skiing, and running as well as playing rugby and hockey. He is excited to learn how HHMC operates while building teamwork skills and making new friends at SAI.

 

The incoming General Manager of Big Red Shipping and Storage (BRSS) is Spencer Jimenez (’22), originally from Greenwich, Connecticut. Spencer is a sophomore in the School of Hotel Administration pursing a minor in real estate. He is an active member of social fraternity Sigma Pi and enjoys snowboarding, traveling, DJing, and trying new foods in his free time. Spencer is excited to manage BRSS and aims to expand its services beyond Cornell and into surrounding areas. 

 

Sophia Oguri (’22) is the incoming Chief Technology Officer. Sophia is a junior in the College of Engineering studying Operations Research and Information Engineering with a minor in computer science. She is originally from Pasadena, California and serves as professional development chair of the Theta Tau Engineering Fraternity as well as a member of the Cornell ChemE Car project team and social sorority Pi Beta Phi. In her free time, Sophia enjoys developing new recipes, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and reading. This year, she is excited to explore her passion for human centered design through the technological infrastructure of Student Agencies and gain experience in leveraging digital interfaces to promote and improve multiple businesses.

 

Albert Sebastian (’22) is the incoming Director of Marketing. Originally from Plainsboro, New Jersey, Albert is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences double majoring in economics and government and pursing a minor in business. Outside of SAI, he is involved in current events organization Cornell Current and enjoys other activities such as reading, hiking, rock climbing, and watching sports in his free time. Albert looks forward to help SAI’s various agencies connect with more segments of the Cornell student market this upcoming year. 

 

The incoming General Managers of Campus Promotions are Hayden Stokley (’22) and Myles Pember (’23). Hayden is a sophomore studying Industrial and Labor Relations with minors in Public Policy and Communications. Originally from Laurel, Mississippi, Hayden is involved in activities outside of SAI including the Undergraduate Law and Society Review and Telluride House as well as film, photography, painting, and writing. Hayden is excited tolearn more about marketing, especially while connecting to the Ithaca community on a more expansive scale. Myles is a freshman in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences originally from Aspen, Colorado but raised in New York City. Outside of SAI, he is a member of Cornell’s Intramural soccer team. He enjoys listening to music and is a fan of the Colorado Avalanche. He is most excited about work on social media management and grow Campus Promotions’ revenue from digital marketing services. 

 

Hamid Waraich (’22) is the incoming General Manager of Real Estate. Hamid is a sophomore in the School of Hotel Administration pursuing a concentration in finance and a minor in real estate. Originally hailing from Princeton, New Jersey, Hamid is involved in several other organizations on campus including the Dean’s Student Advisory Board, Cornell Real Estate Club, and finance organizations Apex Capital and Cornell Global Economics and Finance Society. In his free time, Hamid enjoys playing sports such as volleyball, watching movies and television shows, and spending time with friends and family. This year, Hamid is looking forward to helping Student Agencies Real Estate modernize and adapt to the ever-changing property market by playing an active role in the upcoming redevelopment of 411-415 College Avenue. 

 

Catherine Li (’21) is the incoming Editor in Chief of the Cornellian Yearbook. Catherine is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences pursuing a major in government. She is the senior director of recruitment for Phi Gamma Nu Professional Business Fraternity as well as a member of Class Councils, finance organization Apex Capital, social sorority Delta Delta Delta, and the United Nations Millennium Fellowship. Outside of SAI, Catherine enjoys listening to podcasts, exploring new restaurants, cooking, art, running, hiking, creative writing, and spending time with friends. She is most excited to have a professional experience on campus that’s combined with her passion for design and business. Catherine is eager to pursue the intersection of both and exercise her creative abilities while designing a whole product. She looks forward to seeing the final book and getting to meet new people on campus in the process. The incoming Business Managers are Jet Hardie (’21) and Stephanie Phen (’21). Jet is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Information Science and Philosophy. Outside of SAI, Jet serves as the leader of external operations for Cayuga’s Watchers, a 501c3 organization with a mission to encourage a safe campus environment. He also founded his own business in his hometown of Cape Town, South Africa, and previously played cricket for the United States. Jet enjoys traveling and spending time with friends. His co-manager Stephanie is a senior in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations from New York City. Outside of Student Agencies, Stephanie is a Director in Cornell Consulting, Sector Leader in the Mutual Investment Club of Cornell, a member of the professional business fraternity Phi Gamma Nu, and an analyst in the Cayuga Fund which invests $1mm of Cornell’s endowment. In her free time, Stephanie likes reading, volunteering at the SPCA dog shelter, and acting in Festival 24.
